Have a great time, tomorrow! And don't forget surveys and photos!

I hope everyone is ready for a great day tomorrow. Please remember to fill out the survey - remember, leave any questions that aren't easy to answer blank - (we don't want you to spend an hour on this, just a quick response is great). You can find it under the SURVEY tab here on the blog.

Also check out the PHOTO tab if you want to upload photos to our Flickr page. We'd love to see your library's events ... and so would everyone else!

Ready for fun?!!

Weekend welcomes!

There are so many of you to welcome with SUCH wonderful ideas! (I started writing comments on how much I want to attend each library's celebration. I really love each of your celebrations so, so much). I think* I have everybody up to date and any additions or corrections, but please comment and let me know if I didn't. Some of these have required research to establish the name or proper title of your town/city, so let's hope my librarian skills didn't fail me!

A note for the catalogers ... I have started organizing libraries by town name if it is not the name of their library. This is not yet consistent on the blog, but probably will be ... um ... before next year :) Thus, check for your library under its name OR its town name if they are different.

Snow Day Policies, Surveys, and Photos

Hi, everyone!

As we approach the big day, a few housekeeping items for everyone
- If it SNOWS (Ssh, not too loudly), you may use any day in the month of February as a replacement with your regular activities you had planned that day. We're very flexible about that.
- Surveys - The survey link on the blog is now active. Please fill it out after February 1st so we know how your day went. It's not supposed to take very long, so if you can't fill in any of the boxes, just leave them blank. Surveys are due February 28 or so.
- Photos - If you would like to update photos to our Flickr account, instructions for that will be up to date very soon (I just have to update the file later this week). We love to see your awesomeness in action.

Please also feel free to post photos, comments, or ideas on our Facebook page or here in the comments section at any time. We look forward to hearing from all of you whenever you have a spare moment!

Thank you!
Caitlin

New York Libraries - Take Your Child to the Library Week - wow, I guess NY *is* the city that never sleeps :) Although we hope for the sake of parents, that the children do :)

A note regarding our official count: Now that the three libraries of New York City (Brooklyn, NYPL, and Queens) are participating with their Take Your Child to the Library Week, along with numerous other library systems in Georgia, Missouri, and elsewhere, to name a few, I can no longer say I have a specific count of libraries, since we have many branches involved. Thus, my official terminology is now "Many more than 300 libraries" - When the surveys come in, I will give you an official number of participating patrons and programs (again, probably we won't catch everyone) and that will have to be the official reckoning. Aren't statistics grand :) Caitlin
